Our Story

In October 2022 Performance Plus Arabians transitioned to the leadership of Patty & Ross Hoefker. Its long-standing history of creating a teaching environment for all levels of riders as a well-established show training program and riding academy program remains the focus in Patty’s mission today.

Patty grew up on an Angus cattle farm outside of Sioux Falls. She was introduced to the Arabian breed by her neighbor where her love and passion for showing and competing began. From there she went on to show in local shows, class A shows, and various breed shows. In high school she was given the opportunity to apprentice under Deb McGuire. She has since spent the rest of her career working hard, training horses, and instructing.

It has long been Patty’s dream to run an all-inclusive training facility filled with great horses and even better clients. With her husband Ross’ support and the opportunity from the McGuire’s, that dream has been given a reality. Today the Hoefker’s hope is to be able to share this beautiful facility with unmatched professionalism and a welcoming spirit. They encourage anyone interested to schedule a time to visit the farm and meet the charming Arabian horses that call it home.
